The HP C7978A is an LTO Ultrium cleaning cartridge. As the C7978A is a UCC (Universal Cleaning Cartridge), therefore it is compatible with all LTO tape drives and autoloaders (LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3 and LTO-4). However it must be noted that this compatibility is only applicable to tape drives and auto-loaders that have been manufactured after January 2002.
